Problem

A sinusoidal source of rms voltage 220 V, 50 Hz is connected in series with a resistance of 10 Ω, an inductance of 0.10 H and a capacitance of 100 µF. (i) Find the numerical values of the inductive reactance XLX_L and the capacitive reactance XCX_C at 50 Hz. (ii) Calculate the magnitude of the impedance ZZ of the series circuit. (iii) Hence determine the rms current supplied by the source.
