Problem

Consider two distinct points AA and BB lying on a plane. (i) Define an axiom and a postulate, giving one example of each from geometry. (ii) State Euclid’s first postulate. (iii) Explain why Euclid’s first postulate guarantees that exactly one straight line can pass through the points AA and BB. (iv) Do we need an additional proof to establish the uniqueness of this line beyond the postulate itself? Give reasons for your answer.
