Problem

A 4 μF4\,\mu\text{F} capacitor and a 6 μF6\,\mu\text{F} capacitor are connected in parallel. This parallel combination is connected in series with a 3 μF3\,\mu\text{F} capacitor across a 24 V24\,\text{V} battery. Determine: (i) the equivalent capacitance of the entire circuit. (ii) the potential difference across the 3 μF3\,\mu\text{F} capacitor. (iii) the charge on each of the 4 μF4\,\mu\text{F} and 6 μF6\,\mu\text{F} capacitors.
