Problem

What to do: (1) Draw AB=10 cmAB=10\text{ cm}. Construct an angle of 30∘30^\circ at point AA. Using BB as the centre, draw an arc of a circle with radius 6 cm6\text{ cm}. Let CC denote the point where the arc intersects the ray from AA. How many different possible points CC are there, and therefore how many different triangles ABCABC may be constructed? (2) Repeat the procedure in part 1 with AB=10 cmAB=10\text{ cm} and an angle of 30∘30^\circ at point AA, using an arc centred at BB with radius 5 cm5\text{ cm}, 3 cm3\text{ cm}, and 12 cm12\text{ cm}, respectively. (3) Using the results from parts 1 and 2, discuss the possible number of triangles obtainable given two sides and a non-included angle.
