Three metallic wires X, Y and Z look identical but their resistances satisfy the relation RX<RY<RZ. Answer the following without performing any numerical calculation.
(i) State Ohm’s law.
(ii) If the same current is passed through each wire, explain which wire will have the greatest potential difference across it and which will have the least. Give a reason.
(iii) If instead the same potential difference is applied across each wire, arrange the wires in the order of increasing current through them and justify your answer.
