A 24 V24\,\text{V} ideal battery is connected to two resistors R1=4 kΩR_1=4\,\text{k}\Omega and R2=2 kΩR_2=2\,\text{k}\Omega in series. A voltmeter of internal resistance RV=20 kΩR_V=20\,\text{k}\Omega is used to measure the potential difference across R1R_1. (i) Calculate the reading of the voltmeter. (ii) Determine the percentage error in the measured value compared with the true potential difference across R1R_1.
