Problem

In a sketch of the region around a single point charge, the electric field lines are directed radially outward. At point P, four lines pass perpendicularly through a tiny square of side 1 mm; at point Q, which is twice as far from the charge as P, only one line passes through an identical square. Identify the sign of the charge and explain which of the two points experiences the stronger electric field.
