Problem

Consider the matrices A=(4332),B=(−233k),A=\begin{pmatrix}4&3\\3&2\end{pmatrix},\qquad B=\begin{pmatrix}-2&3\\3&k\end{pmatrix}, where kk is a real number. (i) Determine the value of kk for which AB=I2AB=I_2, where I2I_2 is the 2×22\times2 identity matrix. (ii) For the value of kk obtained in (i), compute BABA. (iii) What conclusion can you draw about the relationship between AA and BB? Justify with reference to your calculations.
