Problem

Six identical point charges +2 μC+2\,\mu\text{C} are placed at the vertices of a regular hexagon of side 0.15 m0.15\,\text{m}. A seventh identical charge is placed at the centre of the hexagon. (a) Calculate the magnitude of the net electrostatic force on the central charge. (b) If the charge at one of the vertices is removed while all the others remain, determine the magnitude and direction of the net force on the central charge.
