Problem

For the hyperbola x2a2−y2b2=1\frac{x^2}{a^2} - \frac{y^2}{b^2} = 1, the normal at point PP meets the transverse axis AA′AA' in GG and the conjugate axis BB′BB' in gg, and CFCF is perpendicular to the normal from the centre. Find the eccentricity of the hyperbola that is the locus of the midpoint of GG and gg. (1) 1(e2−1)\frac{1}{\sqrt{(e^2 - 1)}} (2) e(e2−1)\frac{e}{\sqrt{(e^2 - 1)}} (3) 2(e2−1)2\sqrt{(e^2 - 1)} (4) e2\frac{e}{2}
