Problem

Consider the straight line represented by the equation y=−32x+4y=-\dfrac{3}{2}x+4. Answer the following. (i) State the slope and the yy-intercept of the line. (ii) Describe, step by step, how you would locate a second point on the graph of this line by interpreting the slope as “rise over run.” (iii) Using only the information contained in the equation, explain whether the line rises or falls as xx increases and comment on its approximate steepness. (iv) If the line were extended sufficiently in both directions, would it intersect the xx-axis to the left or to the right of the origin? Give reasons for your answer.
