Problem

Let A(2,−3)A(2,-3) and B(−4,5)B(-4,5) be fixed points. A point P(x,y)P(x,y) moves on the straight line 2x+y=42x+y=4 and forms a triangle △ABP\triangle ABP whose area is 66 square units. (a) Obtain the possible coordinates of PP. (b) How many distinct positions of PP satisfy these conditions? Give reasons for your answer.
