Problem

A battery has an open-circuit potential difference of 6 V6\text{ V} between its terminals. When a load resistance of 60 Ω60\ \Omega is connected across the battery, the total power supplied by the battery is 0.4 W0.4\text{ W}. What load resistance RR will dissipate maximum power? Calculate this power and the total power supplied by the battery when this load is connected.
