Problem

A learner proposes the relation F=mvtF = \dfrac{mv}{t} for the force FF acting on a body of mass mm that is moving with speed vv for a time interval tt. (i) Examine whether the above relation is dimensionally consistent with respect to the base dimensions MM, LL and TT. (ii) If it is not correct, modify the relation by adjusting the power of either vv or tt (but not both) so that the new relation becomes dimensionally valid.
