Problem

An electronic device operates with the following power schedule during a 1\,h test cycle: • P1=500 WP_1 = 500\,\text{W} for the first 10\,min • P2=800 WP_2 = 800\,\text{W} for the next 20\,min • P3=300 WP_3 = 300\,\text{W} for the last 30\,min. (i) Calculate the total electrical energy consumed during the entire 1\,h cycle in joules. (ii) Convert the result of part (i) into  kWh\,\text{kWh}. (iii) If electrical energy costs ₹6.50 per  kWh\,\text{kWh}, determine the cost of running the device for one complete test cycle, correct to the nearest paisa.
