Problem

A hill rises with a constant gradient such that the slope of the road is described by tan⁡β=512\tan \beta = \dfrac{5}{12}. (i) Determine sin⁡β\sin \beta and cos⁡β\cos \beta. (ii) A vehicle moves 600 m up the road along the slope. Calculate the vertical height gained by the vehicle. (iii) Using your answers from part (i), find the values of csc⁡β,  sec⁡β\csc \beta,\; \sec \beta and cot⁡β\cot \beta.
