Problem

A ring of radius RR has charge −Q-Q distributed uniformly over it. Calculate the charge (qq) that should be placed at the center of the ring such that the electric field becomes zero at a point on the axis of the ring distant RR from the center of the ring. The value of qq is (Q/4)N(Q/4)\sqrt{N}. Find the value of NN?
