(a) Define inertia. (b) State how mass is related to inertia. (c) A table-tennis ball of mass 2.7 g2.7\,\text{g}, a cricket ball of mass 160 g160\,\text{g} and a shot-put of mass 7.26 kg7.26\,\text{kg} are each lying at rest on a horizontal floor. Rank the three objects in increasing order of their resistance to being set into motion and justify your answer. (d) Distinguish between mass and weight, and explain why inertia is regarded as a property of mass rather than of weight.
