Problem
A student investigates how the magnetic field produced by a circular current-carrying loop depends on different parameters.
(i) State how the magnitude of the magnetic field at the centre of the loop changes when the current in the loop is doubled while its radius remains unchanged.
(ii) Describe the change in the magnetic field at the centre if, instead of a single loop, the same wire is wound into a coil of five tightly packed turns of the same radius, carrying the same current.
(iii) Explain what happens to the direction of the magnetic field lines at the centre when the direction of the current in the loop is reversed.
