Problem

In a school lab, a rubber ball is dropped twice from different heights onto a sand pit so that it does not bounce. Height A: 5.00 m, measured fall time 1.02 s Height B: 20.0 m, measured fall time 2.02 s (i) Using the data for Height A, calculate the acceleration due to gravity. (ii) Using the data for Height B, calculate the acceleration due to gravity. (iii) Comment, with calculations, on whether the two experimental values agree within an experimental uncertainty of 5 %.
