Problem

Two students, A and B, run on separate circular tracks laid out in the school playground. Track A has a radius of 20 m20\,\text{m} while Track B has a radius of 30 m30\,\text{m}. Each student completes one full lap in exactly 40 s40\,\text{s}. (i) Without using any calculations, state which student has the greater speed and give a qualitative reason for your choice. (ii) Explain, in not more than four sentences, how the speed of an object in uniform circular motion depends on the radius of the path when the time period remains the same.
