Problem

At a traffic junction, a signal post has two arms that lie on the same straight line passing through the pole. The red signal arm makes an angle of (2k+11)∘(2k + 11)^{\circ} with the vertical pole on one side, and the green signal arm makes an angle of (6k−29)∘(6k - 29)^{\circ} on the opposite side. Using this information, answer the following: (i) Write the linear equation satisfied by kk. (ii) Solve for kk. (iii) Find the measure of the angle made by each arm with the vertical pole. (iv) Verify that the two arms indeed form a straight line by showing that the two angles are supplementary.
