Problem

In glycerin at the surface, the density is 1260 kg m−31260\,\mathrm{kg\,m^{-3}} and the bulk modulus is 4.4×109 Pa4.4\times10^{9}\,\mathrm{Pa}. At a certain depth the density increases by 2%2\% and the bulk modulus increases by 3%3\%. Determine, correct to two significant figures, the percentage change in the speed of sound at that depth compared with the surface value.
