A circular wire loop of radius 10 cm is held in a region of uniform magnetic field of magnitude 0.40 T. The plane of the loop is initially perpendicular to the field.
(i) Define magnetic flux linked with a planar surface.
(ii) Describe, with reasons, how the magnetic flux through the loop will vary as the loop is slowly rotated about one of its diameters until the plane of the loop becomes parallel to the magnetic field.
(iii) When the plane of the loop makes an angle of 30° with the magnetic field, calculate the magnitude of the magnetic flux linked with the loop.
