Problem

Three quadratic equations are given below: (A) 5x2+5y2−20x+15y+50=05x^{2}+5y^{2}-20x+15y+50=0 (B) 4x2+9y2+8x−12y+36=04x^{2}+9y^{2}+8x-12y+36=0 (C) −2x2−2y2+4x+6y−3=0-2x^{2}-2y^{2}+4x+6y-3=0 (i) For each equation, determine with proper reasoning whether it represents a circle. (ii) For every equation that does represent a circle, reduce it to centre–radius form and obtain the centre and radius. (iii) Compare the areas of any circles obtained in part (ii) and state which one is larger.
