Let p(x)=x3+ax2+bx+cp(x)=x^{3}+ax^{2}+bx+c, where aa, bb and cc are real numbers. (i) Show that the remainder obtained when p(x)p(x) is divided by x−1x-1 is 1+a+b+c1+a+b+c. (ii) Hence prove that x−1x-1 is a factor of p(x)p(x) if and only if a+b+c=−1a+b+c=-1. (iii) If a=2a=2 and b=−3b=-3, determine the value of cc for which x−1x-1 is a factor of p(x)p(x).
