Problem

Two cars, AA and BB, are moving on a level road. Car AA: mass 800 kg800\,\text{kg}, speed 54 km/h54\,\text{km/h} Car BB: mass 1000 kg1000\,\text{kg}, speed 45 km/h45\,\text{km/h} (i) Convert the given speeds into m/s\text{m/s}. (ii) Calculate the kinetic energy of each car. (iii) Which car possesses more kinetic energy and by how much? (iv) If the speed of car AA is increased by 10 km/h10\,\text{km/h} while its mass remains the same, will it then have more kinetic energy than car BB? Support your answer with calculation.
