Problem

In a series R ⁣LR\!L circuit, R=30 ΩR=30\,\Omega and L=0.10 HL=0.10\,\text{H}. When connected to a 100 V100\,\text{V} AC source at 50 Hz50\,\text{Hz}, the rms current is I1I_1. If the frequency is doubled to 100 Hz100\,\text{Hz} with the same supply voltage, the new rms current I2I_2 is obtained. The ratio I2/I1I_2/I_1 is closest to (a) 2.002.00 (b) 0.500.50 (c) 0.630.63 (d) 1.001.00
