Problem

Call the rms speed of the molecules in an ideal gas v0v_0 at temperature T0T_0 and pressure p0p_0. Find the speed if (a) the temperature is raised from T0=293T_0 = 293 K to 573573 K (b) the pressure is doubled and T=T0T = T_0 (c) the molecular weight of each of the gas molecules is tripled.
