Problem

For a twice-differentiable function gg, the sign of g′′g'' is described as follows: • g′′(x)>0g''(x)>0 on (−∞,−2)(-\infty,-2) and on (1,4)(1,4). • g′′(x)<0g''(x)<0 on (−2,1)(-2,1) and on (4,∞)(4,\infty). • g′′(x)=0g''(x)=0 at x=−2, 1, 4x=-2,\,1,\,4. Determine the intervals on which gg is concave down.
