Problem

Statement I If three points P,QP, Q and RR have position vectors a,b\mathbf{a}, \mathbf{b} and c\mathbf{c} respectively, and 2a+3b−5c=02\mathbf{a} + 3\mathbf{b} - 5\mathbf{c} = 0 , then the points P,QP, Q and RR must be collinear. Statement II If for three points A,BA, B and CC , AB=λAC\mathbf{AB} = \lambda \mathbf{AC} , then points A,BA, B and CC must be collinear.
