Problem

An angle θ\theta measures 7π4\dfrac{7\pi}{4} radians. (i) Locate the terminal side of θ\theta on the unit circle and state the sign of its xx– and yy–coordinates. (ii) Determine the exact values of sin⁡θ\sin\theta and cos⁡θ\cos\theta. (iii) Using these values, find tan⁡θ\tan\theta, cot⁡θ\cot\theta, sec⁡θ\sec\theta and csc⁡θ\csc\theta. (iv) Show that sin⁡2θ+cos⁡2θ=1\sin^{2}\theta+\cos^{2}\theta=1 for this angle.
