Problem

Ligands are broadly classified into two classes classical and non-classical ligands, depending on their donor and acceptor ability. Classical ligands form classical complexes while non-classical ligands form non-classical complexes. Bonding mechanism in non-classical is called synergic bonding. Synergic bonding is absent in : (1) [Mo(CO)6][\text{Mo}(\text{CO})_6] (2) [Cr(CO)3(B3N3H6)][\text{Cr}(\text{CO})_3(\text{B}_3\text{N}_3\text{H}_6)] (3) [Sc(CO)6]3+[\text{Sc}(\text{CO})_6]^{3+} (4) [Ni(CN)4]4−[\text{Ni}(\text{CN})_4]^{4-}
