A plastic toy has mass 120 g120\,\text{g} and occupies a volume of 200 cm3200\,\text{cm}^{3}. It is to be placed first in water and then in kerosene of density 0.80 g cm−30.80\,\text{g\,cm}^{-3}. (i) Convert the given mass and volume into SI units. (ii) Calculate the density of the toy. (iii) Decide whether the toy will float or sink in water. Give a reason based on your calculation. (iv) Repeat the above decision for kerosene and justify your answer.
