Problem

Two lines ee and ff are intersected by a transversal kk. At the intersection with ee, the angle on the east of kk and above ee is (3x−5)∘(3x - 5)^{\circ}. At the intersection with ff, the angle occupying the corresponding position is (2x+40)∘(2x + 40)^{\circ}. (a) Show that ee is parallel to ff. (b) Determine the value of xx. (c) Using the value of xx, calculate all eight angles formed by the transversal. (d) State any two distinct pairs of angles from your answer in part (c) that are supplementary.
