Problem

Four metallic conductors A, B, C and D are connected one at a time across a battery that maintains a constant potential difference of 12 V across each conductor. The currents recorded are: A → 2.0 A, B → 1.5 A, C → 3.0 A, D → 0.5 A. Answer the following. (i) State the relation connecting potential difference, current and resistance for a conductor. (ii) Using the data given, calculate the resistance of each conductor (iii) Arrange the conductors in the order of increasing resistance and write the corresponding resistance values.
