Problem

A temperature sensor records voltage VV (in volts) that depends on the temperature TT (in degrees Celsius) according to V(T)=3T2+1V(T)=3T^{2}+1. The temperature in turn varies with time tt (in seconds) following T(t)=ln⁡(5t+2)T(t)=\ln(5t+2). (a) Write VV explicitly as a function of tt. No algebraic simplification is needed at this stage. (b) Derive an expression for dVdt\dfrac{dV}{dt} in terms of tt. Simplify completely. (c) Evaluate dVdt\dfrac{dV}{dt} at t=4t=4 and state appropriate units. (d) Interpret the meaning of the value found in part (c) within the context of the sensor’s operation.
