Problem

Consider the polynomial s(x)=2x4+px3+qx2+8x+4s(x)=2x^4+px^3+qx^2+8x+4 where pp and qq are integers. The polynomial is exactly divisible by (x−2)(x-2). (i) Derive the relation between pp and qq that follows from the given condition. (ii) Find all ordered pairs (p,q)(p, q) satisfying the relation obtained in part (i) if 0≤p≤100\le p\le10.
