Problem

A square coil of N=150N = 150 turns and side 12 cm12\,\text{cm} is placed in a uniform magnetic field of magnitude 0.30 T0.30\,\text{T}. At t=0t = 0 the normal to the plane of the coil makes an angle of 30∘30^{\circ} with the magnetic field. The coil starts rotating with a constant angular speed of 120 rad s−1120\,\text{rad s}^{-1}. (i) Write an expression for the instantaneous emf induced in the coil, including the initial orientation of the coil. (ii) Calculate the magnitude of the induced emf at t=4.0 mst = 4.0\,\text{ms}. (iii) Find the time after t=0t=0 when the emf first reaches its maximum value.
