Problem

Heat flows steadily through an aluminium rod of length 1.0 m1.0\,\text{m} and cross-sectional area 1.0×10−4 m21.0\times10^{-4}\,\text{m}^2. If the thermal conductivity of aluminium is 205 W m−1K−1205\,\text{W m}^{-1}\text{K}^{-1} and the heat current measured is 2.0 W2.0\,\text{W}, determine the temperature difference between the ends of the rod.
