Problem

Let the position vectors of two points in space be r⃗P=1 i^−2 j^+3 k^\vec r_P = 1\,\hat i - 2\,\hat j + 3\,\hat k and r⃗Q=5 i^+1 j^−9 k^\vec r_Q = 5\,\hat i + 1\,\hat j - 9\,\hat k. (i) Write the displacement vector PQ⃗\vec{PQ} from PP to QQ. (ii) Compute the magnitude of PQ⃗\vec{PQ}. (iii) Obtain the unit vector along the line joining PP and QQ. (iv) State clearly which point the unit vector found in part (iii) points towards.
