Problem

A plumber must apply a torque of 45 N⋅m45\,\text{N}\cdot\text{m} to loosen a threaded pipe fitting. She has a straight wrench whose handle is 0.25 m0.25\,\text{m} long. (a) Assuming she can pull perpendicular to the handle, determine the minimum force she must exert. Give your answer in newtons. (b) The plumber estimates that she can comfortably exert no more than 120 N120\,\text{N} of force. If space constraints still allow her to pull perpendicular to the handle, calculate the minimum handle length her wrench would need in order to achieve the required torque with this force limit.
