Problem
A constant-volume gas thermometer reads 105 kPa at 0 °C and 142 kPa at 100 °C. The pressure gauge is later found to register every pressure 5 kPa too high. Using the corrected pressures, determine the temperature of absolute zero in degrees Celsius implied by the thermometer.
