Problem

A box of mass 10 kg10\,\text{kg} is placed on a friction-free horizontal surface. Three horizontal forces act on the box simultaneously: F1=15 NF_1 = 15\,\text{N} to the right, F2=10 NF_2 = 10\,\text{N} to the left, and F3=5 NF_3 = 5\,\text{N} to the right. (i) Calculate the net horizontal force acting on the box and state its direction. (ii) State whether the forces on the box are balanced or unbalanced. (iii) Predict the subsequent motion of the box according to Newton’s first law of motion.
