Problem

A car is moving in a straight line with uniform acceleration. (i) State the relation between final velocity, initial velocity and acceleration for motion with constant acceleration. (ii) The car is travelling at an initial speed of 10 m s−110\,\text{m s}^{-1} and its acceleration is 2 m s−22\,\text{m s}^{-2}. Calculate its speed after 8 s8\,\text{s}. (iii) For the same time interval, find the distance covered by the car. (iv) List the SI units of all the physical quantities used in parts (ii) and (iii).
