Problem

Lines ll and mm are parallel and are intersected by a transversal tt. At the point where tt meets ll, the interior angle on the left of tt is (5x+15)∘(5x + 15)^{\circ}. At the point where tt meets mm, the angle situated in the corresponding position is (3x+57)∘(3x + 57)^{\circ}. Answer the following. (a) Form an equation in xx by using an appropriate angle relationship and hence find the value of xx. (b) Calculate the measure of each of the eight angles formed at the two intersections. (c) Verify numerically that the two interior angles on the same side of the transversal are supplementary.
