Problem
A rectangular coil of 40 turns has length 10 cm and breadth 5 cm. It is placed in a uniform magnetic field of 0.30 T such that the angle between the field direction and the normal to the coil is 60°.
Solve the following:
(i) Calculate the magnetic flux linked with the entire coil in this orientation.
(ii) The coil is slowly rotated about one of its longer sides until the flux through it becomes exactly one-half of the value obtained in part (i). Determine the new angle between the field direction and the normal to the coil’s plane.
