Problem
A vertical cylindrical water tank is 6 m high and has radius 2.1 m. A hemispherical dome of the same radius is fixed on the top of the tank. The circular base of the cylinder rests on the ground and is not to be painted.
Take π=3.14.
(i) Calculate the outer surface area that must be painted.
(ii) Find the cost of painting the tank at Rs 120 per square metre.
