Problem

A disk of radius 0.20 m0.20\,\text{m} rotates about a fixed axis. Its angular velocity increases uniformly from 00 to 8.0 rad s−18.0\,\text{rad}\,\text{s}^{-1} during the first 2.0 s2.0\,\text{s} and then remains constant thereafter. Find the magnitude of the total linear acceleration (tangential plus centripetal) of a point on the rim at t=1.5 st = 1.5\,\text{s}.
