Problem

In a pulse circuit, a node P receives an instantaneous current i1(t)=5+2sin⁡ωt  Ai_1(t)=5+2\sin \omega t\;\text{A} through one branch and a steady current of 3.0 A3.0\,\text{A} through a second branch. At the same instant a current of 2.0 A2.0\,\text{A} leaves the node through a third branch. Let i4(t)i_4(t) be the instantaneous current in the fourth branch. (a) Derive an expression for i4(t)i_4(t). (b) Calculate the value of i4(t)i_4(t) at the instant when ωt=π2\omega t=\dfrac{\pi}{2}, and state its direction relative to the node at that instant.
